Jewish Community Preschool (JCP)
We can proudly boast that our Jewish Community Preschool is the finest one in town! Our director, Chen Greenberg, has created a most wonderful place of learning and loving. Children ages 5 months - 5 years old are treated to the opportunities of small classes, loving and caring teachers, special classes for Sign Language, music 3 times a week, jogging, journaling, science, library, soccer, Shabbat, book fairs, outings, and other surprises! The annual fundraiser and book fair are some of highlights of the year. Every day is filled with laughs and smiles!
SCOTTY
SCOTTY is open to all Jewish teens in the 6th through 12th grades. They are very active within the Temple! Besides hosting Kids Night Out monthly, they are involved in social action and religious projects. Every year a teen board is elected which consists of a president, religious and cultural vice-president, programming VP, communications VP, and membership VP. They help manage events and organize activities.
ACADEMY
Li-Or Greenberg teaches this exciting, enriching Jewish Curriculum to 6-12th graders. It changes yearly based on the students’ interests and current social events. In previous years, the students have attended comparative religions class in which they learned about different religions and visited different houses of worship, including all the local sects of Christianity. As part of learning about each religion, the students also have the opportunity to learn about and discuss the Jewish influence within these religions and how the Jewish heritage has shaped these religions. Other lessons have included a detailed year of Torah study, learning about the Prophets and the history of the first and second Temples. In addition, Academy loves to learn to cook!
